A Date with our little Cooper!

Finally, my girlfriend and i had the opportunity to take a day off and we decided to head to a new place for lunch rather then always staying around Bedok or Town. But first, we had to make sure that wherever we’re going, it’ll be dog friendly so that we could bring little Cooper out with us:)

After making a phone call to “Chock Full of Beans”, and knowing that they’re pet friendly, we decided to drive down to Changi Village to try them out!

It was quite an easy place to locate, situated just at the corner of the stretch of shophouses in Changi Village and directly in front of the bus terminal, we had literally no problems looking for it.

Chock Full of Beans

It was 1.45pm when we arrived and the place was packed with a good crowd who were either having their caffeine fixed or having lunch, it is crazy! Mates, it’s already 1.45pm!! Hahaha! joking! But yeah, that’s probably how good they are!

The Set Lunch menu was really affordable with salads, sandwiches to pastas from $13 that comes with a Soup/Drink and a main.

pasta[1]

Michelle decided to go with the Mushroom Soup and Roast-Beef Sandwich while i went for the Tomato Soup and Linguine Aglio Olio with prawns and Squid. The soups was really well balanced with the flavours of mushroom and cream matching nicely without overpowering one another. Next came to the mains, the pasta was cooked to Al-Dente, but it was slightly too spicy for my palate, nevertheless, the freshness of the prawns and squid were cooked to perfection. One thing to take note!! the dishes were not too salty, something very important for me, so if you wanna add more salt into your dish, feel free to add it in!

beer[1]

In all honesty, i’m a person who is very very VERY particular about my coffee, so instead of being disappointed (i thought), i decided to go with a beer, something more consistent and expected. But when Michelle ordered the flat white, i was so impressed by the intensity of flavours and the effort put into doing the Latte-art that i gobbled down my beer and so that i could order a flat white next!
