The inaugural Sands for Singapore Festival is back, and this time, they’re back for a greater cause! From the 16th-18th of August 2013, Marina bay Sands would be collaborating with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to donate 50 per cent of their proceeds to charity. Woots~~
Dr Keith Goh, Chairman, Make-A-Wish Foundation said, “ The Wish Dish has become a signature event for us since we first introduced it last year. With the great support of Marina Bay Sands especially with its early support to kick start the campaign, we hope that more restaurants in Singapore will come on board and join us in granting the wishes of our beneficiaries”
Supporting the cause, participating partners includes celebrity restaurants such as CUT, db Bistro Moderne, Guy Savoy, Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza, Sky on 57 and Waku Ghin! Serving their popular dishes such as the Yankee Burger from db Bistro Moderne and the USDA Prime Rib Eye from CUT. If the juicy meats are not enough to ease your cravings, seafood lovers would be glad to know that SKY on 57 has created a variety of Wish Dishes such as the Clams and Herbs Fondue, Lobster Mousseline and Steamed Canadian Halibut.
Other tenanted restaurants such as the TWG also joined in the cause by creating the Trio of Chocolate Mousse infused with Earl Grey Fortune, especially for this occasion. Some of the other participating tenants includes The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Beanstro, High Society, Jin Shan, Rasapura, Moluccas Room and 1983 – A Taste of Nanyang.
Though Marina Bay Sands’ is holding the Wish Dish Campaign months earlier with support for the official annual Wish Dish campaign in October this year, “This is an indicator of how seriously we take charitable causes while we celebrate good food and wine in Marina Bay Sands,” said Tamir Shanel, Vice-President of Food & Beverage, Marina Bay Sands.
